French customs

Found this in a marina bathroom that was otherwise incredibly clean and really nice.

"Se" in French works really well in English as a gender-neutral she/he/it replacement.

So, to recap, "Se" finds the toilet paper outside the bathroom stall. What does "Se" do until he/she/it discovers the location of the TP and ends the treasure hunt? What possible purpose could it serve to locate the TP outside the stall?
