Cavaliere-Sur-Mer

Cavaliere-Sur-Mer is a boring little town in Cote d'Azur. It marks nothing, there is really nothing here, except it's a convenient distance to everything else. So it appears that a city popped up here.

Incidentally, mooring in France is a lot cheaper than in Spain. The Spaniards were asking for 20 euros in the middle season (April-June) and 40+ euros per night in the high season (July and August). The French are asking for 18-25 euros during the peak season. I believe their marinas are run by the government, which has a very social bent and is aiming to make sailing accessible. This is a good thing.

I ran into Captain Nemo in Cavaliere-Sur-Mer. He's certainly non-fictional, still alive, and doing well for himself in this town, offering undersea rides to passengers. I have no idea how, or if, this boat dives. But it is advertised as taking tourists underwater.
Captain Nemo is alive!

Incidentally, I bought a Tricolor, and felt that I had earned it with the passage across Gulf of Lyon.

Mon drapeau tricolore
They have a very small fish market here, but the fish looked good.
Very fresh
They have some "badass" fish in France
